MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
?Support PAS applications, solutions and proposals from sales channels in CHINA.
?To support the Malvern Panalytical sector sales force in following up PAS enquiries according to defined PAS business procedures
?Make sure the proposed strategy and selected solutions are in line with the overall Process & Automation Solutions approach applying VBS methodology
?Provides the supporting specialist knowledge to the large account program
?To work closely with the ‘PAS Business Development Manager’ and the Proposals Team to develop first-class proposals to customers/distributors
?To coordinate marketing and promotional activities for Malvern Panalytical’s Process and Automation Solutions - including Technical presentations & Customer Seminars
?Attending meetings with PAS – Business Manager as a technical expert.
?To work closely and collaboratively with customers to devise effective solutions, understand/ capture requirements and ensuring that the offered solution can deliver on those requirements.
?Organise training and product support to channel partners and sector sales team
?Coordinate and ensure application successes through ‘PAS Business Manager’
?Organise and coordinate pre- and post-sales application support and instrument optimisation to secure the application and data usage as contractually agreed with the customer.
?Wins the right way demonstrating strong CoBE and HSE leadership
RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Seek co-operation with key customers, opinion leaders and PAS Business Manager.
?To follow the Malvern Panalytical PAS systems project procedure.
?Report on PAS market and competitor information to the PAS – Business Manager.
?Work with Key Account Managers to flag key account opportunities and participate in action plans to secure the outcome is in Malvern Panalytical’s best interest.
?Monitor the cost of sales and execution for each project in order to improve profitability
?Build productive relationships internally and externally, fostering teamwork by keeping colleagues updated on activities
?Provide input into the “Commercial Review” and work closely with the respective SSM
?Provide first class documentation of every project to allow seamless repeat business.
?Support Malvern Panalytical’s field sales and distributors efforts by means of customer visits, coordinating specialist engineering and application knowledge. Ensure visibility of leads, quotes, visits and project details are progressed via Salesforce.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED OF THE JOB HOLDER:
?Must hold a university degree (or equivalent) in a technical subject, preferably chemical, mechanical or process engineering.
?Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to interact with colleagues and customers at all levels.
?Experience working with process instrumentation and/or automation projects
?Structured and analytical thinker.
?Communication skills at all levels and the ability to conduct oneself in a friendly and professional manner. Common sense attitude.
?This is a visible position influencing the customer’s perception of our company’s professional image. The ability to deal efficiently, diplomatically and with consideration of the customer and MP personnel is essential
?Knowledge of automation and various analytical techniques viz. Neutrons, Gamma, Laser, X-ray, NIR, IR expected
?Engineering Design and Automation knowledge
?Direct knowledge and experience in process technology desired.
?Practical knowledge of process control and automation would be preferred
?Must have a good command of spoken and written English.
?Ability to translate and handle bilingual communication between local and English language desired.
